Yoga is a pretty huge discipline with all things having been considered and taken into account, one that has a tendency to be overlooked in a lot of ways because of the fact that people don’t really know where to start when it comes to this sort of thing. The sheer number of yoga poses that you would have to look through in order to become fully knowledgeable about this sort of thing means that you would feel rather overwhelmed and this could make you think that there is no way in which you can legitimately start doing yoga anytime soon.
That said, it is important to note that there is a series of poses that you can go for which are often extremely beneficial in their own right. This series of poses as taught by Marianne Wells Yoga School is called the Surya Namaskar, and the literal translation of this Sanskrit term is Sun Salutation due to the reason that that is essentially what you are doing when you are taking part in these poses and doing them every morning for the optimal effect you might have been looking for.
We recommend that you try to do these poses before any others because they can target every part of your body and leave you feeling very loose and limber. Being able to stretch like this is great but Surya Namaskar is also useful in terms of the kind of exercise it would give your muscles. Doing it enough times would allow you to get more defined and toned muscles. While it won’t make you buff or ripped, it would at the very least make you look fitter than you used to manage to look.
